Classy and smooth Cab with dark berry and cherry notes. Mocha-berry flavors with soft yet full tannins. Nice with steak, burgers and roast lamb. Patit Creek Cellars was originally founded in 1999 by six partners, all of whom had been friends for more than 30 years. The partners decided to name the winery, originally located just 30 miles north of Walla Walla in Dayton, after the nearby Patit Creek pronounced PAT-it, which meanders its way through the historic little town. In October 2007 the founding partners sold the winery to Karen La Bonte and Ed Dudley. In 2008 they moved the winery into the heart of Walla Walla wine country. They have also expanded its focus beyond Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon to include white wines and Rhone blended reds.
