Mount Palomar Winery's Limited Reserve Port is non vintage. By not vintage dating our Port we are able to blend the best baarrels from multiple vintages. At any given time, we will have port in barrel from one to five years old. Our port style is considered Tawny. It is fortified and has 18% alcohol. TTB has recently disallowedd any further use of the name "Port" on American wines. Any new wines will be labeled as Red Dessert Wine. Fortunately, we've been using the name long enough that we are "grandfather claused" and will be able to continue to use the name. Our Port is the perfect dessert or after dinner drink. Bring out the extra flavor with a piece of your favorite dark chocolate. Tastes of cooked black fruits, caramel and brown sugar with a surprisingly creamy finish.
